Behind the Stitch
Historical clothing has always been a significant part of my life, and for the past 35 years, I have dedicated myself to bringing history to life through film and media. My experience in costume design includes creating and constructing complete wardrobes, supervising on-set costume departments, and acting as a general problem solver. Each project has been unique, allowing me to utilize all my skills—from building wardrobes for principal actors to outfitting armies of extras and troubleshooting various challenges.
What makes my garments unique? I own a large museum collection of historical clothing from 1860-1915, and I spend my time studying, patterning, and reproducing these garments for film and media. Designing directly from original sources, combined with the benefits of modern technology, enhances both aesthetics and authenticity. Plus, we house and store this ever-growing collection right here, making it a one-stop studio for all your costume design needs, from initial design to the final looks!
Fun fact: I collect and use antique sewing machines, which I incorporate into my daily work!

This extensive background is complemented by equal experience in on-set support, historical clothing research, and wardrobe management for film and media.
